Christian counselling online across Australia
Room for your faith and your whole experience
Faith can be an important source of meaning and belonging. It can also be difficult to find space to speak openly about doubt, disappointment, emotional struggles or the pressures you carry.
I offer individual online counselling with room to explore Christian faith and spirituality if they matter to you. Based in Sydney, I work with adults across Australia who are navigating emotional challenges, relationships and changes in life.

What we can talk about
You may want to explore how your beliefs connect with the decisions you face, the expectations you experience, or the responsibilities you carry. You might be adjusting to a change in ministry, work or family life, or trying to understand difficult feelings alongside your faith.
You are welcome to bring questions and uncertainty. You do not need to have a settled explanation for your experience before reaching out.
How faith fits into our conversations
We begin with what matters to you. Some people want faith to be central to the conversation; others want it understood as part of their background while focusing on relationships, emotions or practical choices.
We can discuss your preferences in the initial consultation. My aim is to understand your experience and work collaboratively, with room for your values, relationships and wellbeing.
Adults from all backgrounds are welcome, whether or not they identify as Christian.
My background
I am Raphael Joson. My experience includes nearly fifteen years in Christian ministry and service as a Navy chaplain. I hold a Bachelor of Theology, a Master of Arts in Theology and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, and I am currently studying a Master of Social Work.
That background informs my interest in the beliefs, experiences and expectations that shape our lives. You can read more about my qualifications and approach before deciding whether to get in touch.
Practical details
All sessions take place online by video call. Individual appointments are 50 minutes and cost $120 AUD. We arrange a suitable time by email and confirm appointments in Sydney time. You will need a private place to talk and a reliable internet connection.
Do I have to belong to a church?
No. You can get in touch whether you attend a church, are exploring your beliefs or are unsure where you stand.
Can I focus on relationship concerns or life direction?
Yes. Faith can be part of the context while we explore your individual experiences, needs and choices. You do not need to make faith the main subject of every session.
How do I find out whether this is right for me?
The free 15-minute online consultation gives you space to ask questions about my approach and explain a little about the support you are looking for.
